Pellet boiler for sure! Just research which sized pellets are usually more available so you don’t have to end up waiting for delivieries. We have 6mm and it’s normally the most requested, maybe ask around about 8mm

definately replace with an efficient modern system. cool as that old diesel monster is, bringing it back into service from a decayed state is asking for future problems even without taking running costs into consideration.

Easier to modernise now rather than later and have to have guests delayed for you swapping it out.. you could always possibly sell the diesel to local farmers etc

Go green you won't regret it. My house was once diesel and it's just too much money. Electric stinks even more (unless going solar).
