YES DUDE. I am a photographer and my friend is from India. Last year I had the huge honor of photographing her wedding. I had never been to an Indian wedding and it was the most BEAUTIFUL thing I think I’ve ever seen. I think about it every day. Now she had a baby and I just got to take photos of her & the baby by the Hindu temple she goes to. Again, so beautiful and something I never could’ve experienced without her being my friend. Why is it so hard for people to just appreciate other cultures? It doesn’t make you any less of a person just because someone else has something amazing.

I’m Scandinavian and very interested in ancient/pre-modern archeology and history (not in the fash way), and it’s so interesting to see how connected we have always been. In my country you can find Arabic silver brought here by the Vikings, and in Tutankhamens grave you find Baltic amber. My language has many similarities with not just the other scandi/nordic languages, but also English and German and Dutch. Isolationism makes no sense.
