Can pre-existing health issues get in the way of this practice? For example, I produce to much cortisol (tumor on adrenal gland-working to get this resolved) and I wonder if this is why I am not able to get into even nightly REM sleep stages (it affects my melatonin production). I don’t dream anymore. I haven’t for years. Basically, would I need to resolve this first before being able to truly reach such a level? Appreciate any insight.
