I have talked to Mormons and ex Mormons and even Mormons who weren’t born/lived in Utah (the jelly belt I heard it’s called). Mormons outside of Utah seem to look down on others less cuz they didn’t live in a state where they were the majority. At least that’s what I’ve heard and experienced.
