As a wedding planner this information isn’t being kept from our couples, we are just honest about the difference between DIYing and hiring professionals. It’s my job to educate my clients on the difference and help them make informed choices based not only on their budget, but on their desired planning experience. What you potentially save in money it costs you in time, stress, and peace of mind. If a couple actually wants to be present and enjoy wedding week instead of stressing about a bunch of DIY projects with cheap materials I am going to recommend actual pros every time. DIY has its place, but it’s rarely on things that require lots of time, artistry and expertise, like florals.
