Current on prednisone, it does help a lot with my flare ups and thankfully it’s being tappered down but the weight gain and the puffy ness has been horrible 😭.

My little sister had to take it for nephrotic syndrome and had SUPER moon face. It went away when she stopped taking it. A lot is water weight. I’m taking it now, started at 50mg and tapered down to 10mg for the time being. It sucks this is the magic pill and it makes us fat 🥲🥲

just started taking prednisone a few weeks ago and definitely see the difference in my face 😢 but it helps so much with my flare ups which i’m grateful for

It does go away after a looonnngg time after stopping (I stopped in feb and finally seeing myself go back to normal)

A gluten free diet might decrease some inflammation and flare ups.

You still look very pretty!!! But I understand because I am on prednisone too for myasthenia gravis. I also have moon face and feel like I look like a totally different person. I miss my old face 🥺

I hate pred so much but I can't live without it. I hate how other people point out my moon face and say "Oh I thought you're sick, how come you look healthy?" because they expect you to be thinner when you're sick.
