She said nothing wrong. TBH she hit a point that me and my mom talk about as adults now and that is the fact that my mom made me her WHOLE life. And not on any obsessive shit she just made me a priority to the point where she didn’t do things for herself. We was down here in this city just me n her fr. No village to lighten the load. It is nothing wrong with mothers having help. Hell in the old days the actually village raised everyone’s kids. People just like to police how successful black women should parent because that can’t believe a single black successfully woman could a good mom to.

I’m not rich and had a nanny. And when I mentioned that to family they would feel some type of way in an undertone way. It’s still hard even with help. I think she just could’ve had a better way of digressing this! I only talk about nanny stuff with people who had Nannie’s 😭. Exactlyyyy she could’ve been more relatable for emotional intelligence purposes. I like your take!

Yes, people don’t have the right words to mustard up, they’re currently in a period where they can recognize what’s wrong from being in the working class/poor vs wealthy people and their wealth, but can’t generate the right words to address why they’re upset. We’re in an economy where people work 2-3 jobs to support. There’s also no jobs. Racism, misogynoir hate crime all in one go. People do not have disposable income. Although what she said was nice in a sense but there’s a time and place. ESP when most of the women supporting her and her brand is working class.

I think there is no was she would have said it that would have satisfied ppl. I think it's just the state of the world right now, ppl are broke, and angry and don't want to hear from privileged ppl about the normal persons plight.
