My guy it’s come out that he was running a PONZI SCHEME. The SEC has stated that he took some of the money from the later raises and paid dividends to some of the early investors. Text book PONY SCHEME. The SEC also stated that he took 20 million of investor money and used it for personal expenses. New cars and bought new properties. TAI will do time for this.

The issue is not that the investment failed, the issue is the funds were mismanaged. New $ was used to pay new investors and funds were used for personal gain by the principals. Thats the issue. We all know investment is not guaranteed but what was the intention and actions behind raising money. (All alleged) btw.

Well, if he was paying old investors with new Investor money, that would be a problem… Regardless of taking responsibility of being an investor. That would be considered a form of fraud.
