I agree to a certain extent. Not trusting white people based on the past and how racism is still such a prevalent issue, is totally valid. Belittling and calling every white person a colonizer and acting as tho we need permission to speak (on non-racial topics) is not ok.

Hell, I encourage them not to trust me. As much as I work to be antiracist at all times, I am still a white woman and our very existence is a threat to people of color whether we want to be or not.

What's even the point of this video? We all have our own free will, have we not? A poc being distrustful of white people is just as valid as me or anyone else being wary of poc. Everyone has their own story to tell, and one story isn't necessarily more right than the other. We all have our reasons to be distrustful of others.

I'm not bothered. I'm furious! Not with them but with us! It's so frustrating that in 2025 we are still at this point that everyone needs to be aware of us. And we are not getting better. There's still too many people (even activists) that ignore the systems that keep the status quo standing.

“Slavery” existing in tribes before colonization but it wasn’t like the slavery white people created. It was taking people captive after tribal disputes and treating them like workers but they were respected as people instead of animals. It was also a way of expanding the gene pool.
