@thestoryoftrouble: ’ll be honest, I didn’t always dream of restoring a Porsche 356. In fact truthfully I didn’t know what a 356 was until I was about 20. What was my dream? My dream was to restore and build a car. A special car. A car that had personality. I’m not sure where this dream came from. Maybe from growing up watching my dad work on cars or from films with “garage scenes”….I wanted to be that guy…who hasn’t wanted to be “that guy” (or “that girl”) in a movie? Regardless of whether it was the scene from Footloose of the guy getting his Beetle running or from my dad getting the lawn mower going for the 16th time one summer, I’ve had a dream to restore and build a car. There is a saying “dreams don’t work unless you do”. I’ve found this to be true. If I hadn’t taken the jump to buy Trouble and start this restoration, this would all just still be a dream.
