I dont understand why some filo parents dont bother teaching their kids tagalog. i thankfully learned tagalog as a kid and it didnt even affect my ability to learn other languages. if anything it's a gift to grow up bi or trilingual

my mum never taught me or my brother tagalog, because her family is bisaya, but she didnt teach us bisaya because if we went somewhere tagalog speaking they wouldnt understand us🥀.

Just ask to them bruhhh, they learn me english para sa eskuelaan (french) muna and then when my english was good enough for college na ask ko sila mag tagalog only with me para marunung ako mag salita ng tagalog, hindi pa perfect yon tagalog, more taglish pero na intindihan ko tsaka alam ko mag answer sa akin pamilya. pero i agree that mahirap mag learn especially if you learn many lingua (spanish english french tagalog)
