The Nasher family built and still owns North Park, they are also founders and benefactors of the Nasher Sculpture Center in downtown Dallas, hence all the sculptures at the mall.

Northpark is a valued Dallas experience! I’ve been shopping there since I was young. While The Galleria doesn’t have the same classy feel it once did, Northpark has held up over time.

I remember Northpark was dead at one point around the 2000s, but then they renovated and they have completely stayed on top of the game since then.

It’s the oldest enclosed shopping mall in the country and the family that owns it displays pieces of their incredible sculpture collection at the mall which led to the Nasher Sculpture Garden 🙃

There’s private equity money where the goal is to squeeze the dollar out and then there Nasher Family Money where the goal is to have a display for their art and it happens to be a mall as a side hobby
