I was $2600 behind due to a job loss. They didn’t repossess my car because I kept in contact with them. When you avoid them that lets them think you don’t intend to pay.

I called my loan company yesterday. im 2 and half payments behind. I told them what was going on. guess what they worked with me. and even was able to help me get the ba k due cleared up so I don't stress over it. all u have to do is talk to them. they want the money not the car.
