mind you this hasnt even stopped. theres still indigenous children being shoved into the foster care system despite having family members that are perfectly capable of taking care of them, and those children still go missing and are found dead, usually from some type of vi0lence

One residential school used electric chairs that were super dangerous. They didn’t kill but the shock could a few days afterwards. In that school they were sexually assaulted and abused. The worst part ? A kid tried walking home, his home was 1000 miles away since he lived in Quebec and the school was in Brampton. It was winter and he froze to death before even starving. The real reason why the police didn’t do anything is because they believed that they were learning there and didn’t check up on it. So it was the people who were running it and the government. This video is correct they need more than “ oh sorry. “ THEY NEED MORE.

Residential school was just a part of what the crown/ government did to us. the Europeans split us up to fight for a side, they promised with land and safety and still got done dirty. Even tho we carried the British in every war and even in the war of 1812

As an ididgenous child in the foster system it hurts seeing this, the shared hatred on both sides of the same usless argument. What happened happened and we can’t change that, what we can do is forgive and reconcile and together make a world for our children that’s batter than the one we lived in.
