Adding onto the comments, we don’t know canonically how dress acts exactly, but basing on fanon impressions and other hints in the game, dress was probably pretty similar personality-wise to Susie, brash, blunt, but also pretty chill. I knew carol’s point of view from when I first saw her. It probably would’ve and could’ve been ANYBODY she didn’t know with Dess’ guitar and she’d still act the same. She most definitely became even more cold and stern than she probably already was due to Dess’ disappearance. It’s why Rudy even corrects Toriel when she refers to Carol as his wife. He says, “Carol.” Assuming her frigid increase of coldness, due to grief, possibly took a toll on their marriage.
