I tried vaguely keeping track of the stations for the iron tangle but it felt way more enjoyable when I stopped trying and just focused on remembering “the rules” of how it work, especially after they start talking about the overall shape of the tangle

The story is told from Carls POV. He’s confused so you’re confused. I do kind of under stand it though. Knowing it’s in the shape of a symbol. Kind of thought of it like a gallifreyan symbol layered 3d image from the top looke like a flat insignia but from the side looks like a knot where the top half is inverted and mirrored in the bottom. Completing the image.

I will always insist that it will always be confusing, but upon each reread, the Iron Tangle becomes just a plot device and the character growth, evolution of themes, the found family, and of course the Dungeon Anarchist’s Cookbook are the point of the book and mark the beginning of the shift from “fun romp” to a much more complex story. It becomes better each time I read it!
