Immigrant here and I confirm this. Visited some of these smaller cities in the less well known States. I would never waste my life there. I'd rather live on half the salary in Europe. For me it was always NYC, California or Canada

It’s called flyover country for a reason. There are some exceptions if you like nature because there are really good National parks in the states but for someone who hates road trips… I’ll probably never visit many of them.

I went to the us (SF & NYC) a couple years ago and met up with a family friend half way through who convinced me to go see “the real America” and had to leave them after like a week because I wasn’t wasting my time in the US on that 😭😭

Tbh if I would ever visit US is because there are so many national park museums etc but if cities yea cities like New York or New Orleans. I feel like the more diversity city is the more welcomed you will feel (and that’s make sense)

Those places were already good and that’s why they’re diverse; the immigrants flocked to them. Hypothetically if all of the immigrants and diverse culture went to Utah instead of New York do you think Utah would be a bigger tourist attraction than New York? No it would not😂😂😂

These places were always the hubs though? London for example was always the place to be in the uk for visitors and people so when mass migration started all the immigrants decided to move to London. The city was already the place to be before diversity hit it like a tonne of bricks and it’s the same for New York,California,Paris,Berlin etc. they are diverse because they had the money,sites and infrastructure so immigrants flocked there like a pigeon to a loaf of bread😂 diversity didn’t make them they made the people come

I don't necessarily think those cities are doing good because of the diversity I think because they do good they get alot of diversity. Flipped. Because I'm from Louisiana if I go to NYC I'm not going to see foreign people tbh I'll probably get irritated over a language barrier anyway. I'm going because it's NYC yk. A global powerhouse
