As someone with a dust mite allergy they make encasings for beds. Covers the whole thing. You can wash it.

when you plastic things like sofa, to keep it cosy so you just use blankets? I love snuggling into a sofa but think I'd struggle if plasticed!! 😂 lovely seeing ladies keeping such pride in their house.xxx

Personally I’ve left the plastic on my ex husbands mattress as I could hear when he takes a seizures it would alert me for one as I am his full time carer

My only concern about leaving the plastic on the mattress that it came in is that you never know what that plastic has touched. If it was shipped in the bag, anything it touched is still there. Rather just wrap it fresh and clean.
