i think they look like an 18g instead of a 20g which is the standard lobe piercing size so that may also be why they are uncomfortable

Idk if this would work for everyone but if you put some neospourin onto the hook of the earring it may help with the irritation, I used to do this all the time and it worked for me! My grandma taught me this trick
