Maybe at that time she wanted to tell everything to Adrien because she didn’t know that no one got the butterfly miraculous and she wasn’t scared about him being akumatized? (She didn’t know Lila was there all the time) Also in that special she told Marinette she wanted to go to jail and tell everybody that she was a villain, instead Marinette brainwashed her telling Adrien needed a mother and convinced her to tell nothing about. Before dying she told Marinette all Gabriel’s plans (To put Ladybug and Chat Noir against the world like the council still wants) So it’s all Marinette’s fault cuz she knew she did wrong things. She’s still sticking w those people just because now she’s a step mother for Adrien, but the regret to go to jail after falling hard for Gabriel and becoming evil for help him for this sick plan is still there. During the council you can see the subliminal message on her suit. Closed collar, heels, her classic outfit in less words and most important her bun returned. When she’s at home she is more free, opened collar, comfortable shoes and hair down, when she has that suit and bun is like she’s in a trap she can’t escape and now she has to fool her dad’s plan. She’s very overwhelmed, she just wanted to stay out of all of this like she also said to Gabriel: “I came to this house due to magical artifacts”, she found them and her life ended there.
