The people saying Batman’s weak for not killing don’t understand, he doesn’t kill both because it would be too easy and because he WANTS to rehabilitate his villains, he wants to see them freed from the cycle of him catching them and then them getting back out of Arkham. Batman has just as much hope as Superman, but more villains that don’t want to change

I wish people knew that Batman has actual trauma that being when his parents was killed People think Batman doesn’t kill because he’s better. The truth is sadder: he doesn’t kill because if he does, he stops being Batman. His entire existence is built on that trauma. The rule isn’t strength, it’s fragility. And that’s why he’s so beautifully written

funfact/friendly reminder: in the comics, Jason "died" from asphyxiation (smoke entering his lungs) due to the rubble collapsing ontop of him. The rubble most likely crushed him to near death but lived just a bit longer. He did not die from the explosion itself so he was an unbelievably scared kid who just wanted his dad to save him and probably heard Bruce scream his name but was too weak with the rubble ontop of him to say anything. He probably heard Bruce and thought he was safe, giving up staying awake, thinking Bruce found him finally but he didn’t. He closed his eyes thinking that he would wake up from the bad dream and be safe in the manor with Bruce and Alfred.

Batman not killing is his biggest weakness. Him being too scared of going down a dark path makes no sense. He is risking thousands up on thousands of people’s lives because of something that might not happen.
