@markwilmson: The number 1 salary mistake after receiving a job offer is accepting the offer too fast! #salarynegotiation #interviewtips #interviewquestions #jobinterview #jobinterviewtips
what about when you are given a offer...ask if it's negotiable and told hands down no...non negotiable?

In every single interview I have had, they have asked how much you want to earn(they usually provide a wage range in their Job posting) and I say: I have seen your wage range, am okey with that, of course I want the highest in it! (Looking straight in their eyes and me smiling). I have not landed a Job😞😞. What is the answer I suppose to give, when we are still interviewing..still not a Job offer?

I didn’t know it was an option when I started working. I thought I had to accept the pay or decline the job.

I have accepted a salary offer without negotiation because it was higher almost at the top end of the scale than what I was expecting them to offer me

Yes, I have because I was desperate for a job. I didn’t wanted to pull the offer for trying to negotiate however I knew the salary they offer was bare minimum.

My first retail job in college I thought my salary was the start pay for every employee, until my friend got hired with no experience like me. I found out they started him $2.00 higher than me.

Definitely in a sellers market. A lot of companies are leaning on the fact that a ton of federal employees are out of the job looking for work. I had two offers rescinded in the last week in a half. Met all of the requirements, exceeded in what they were looking for in leadership and management. Great interview. Offers came in at the bottom of the salary range. 20k-30k below my floor. Simply, they said they couldn’t afford me.I followed up with an email thanking them for their consideration and an enclosure mapping out the risk of passing up on me and what it will cost them by hiring the lesser or non qualified person. We can always revisit later down the road, if you can’t find the right fit. BTW, Love your content!
