I work in recruitment and your applications has to be SO good and detailed these days to get shortlisted for an interview, it's crazy! Doesn't help that every company values different things so it's hard to know what to put on an application

i‘m not from uk but the same thing is everywhere in europe…. For jobs, they no longer look at your qualifications, knowledge, or experience…if you have connections, you get the job. That’s why I’m going to work for myself and start my own business next year.

This is what happens when they tell everyone they can be whatever they want. Fact is there isn’t enough jobs for that, and it’s extra competitive bc immigrants also come here for the same jobs. People need to realise you will just need to get any job. My boyfriend is a musician but he works as a chef bc hospitality is ALWAYS hiring.

That’s why I’ve still kept my part time job at Tescos even tho I’m full time employed as a telecomms engineer…. The discount helps with the weekly shops 🤷🏻♂
