💤 Surviving on 3-4 hours of sleep: Busy schedules and early starts meant I was constantly sleep-deprived. Poor sleep over a prolonged period throws off circadian rhythms, in turn impacting gut health. 🍷 Drinking every weekend: Social drinking was disrupting my microbiome, increasing inflammation and impacting my sleep (which only made my gut symptoms worse). ☕️ Coffee on an empty stomach: The perfect storm for my IBS - increased gut motility and stress reactivity.    💊 Not supplementing correctly: I wasn’t addressing nutrient gaps or supporting my digestion with the right supplements.    ⚡️Not managing stress effectively: This was the biggest one. I underestimated how much chronic low-level stress was contributing to my symptoms. What helped: - Consistent sleep routine (still working on this one, any other insomniacs with me?) - No coffee until after breakfast and making sure to have a light roast. I have generally reduced the amount I drank overall and opted more for tea - Cutting alcohol down and having it much less frequently - now I can only hack 1-2 drinks max and don’t really like the taste of alcohol anymore, huge transition - Structured supplementation - finding the right supplements that work with me - Stress management and prioritising self care, rest & recovery Of course, everyone’s gut health story is different but maybe something in here resonated with you 💚 #nutrition #healthyliving #Lifestyle #wellness #health #food #psychology #guthealth #wellbeing #holistic #naturalmedicine #SelfCare #reels #explore #trending #viral #mediterraneanlifestyle #antiInflammatory #community #slowliving
