@notenoughspacetalk: Join Brian Cox as he tackles one of the most profound questions in cosmology: what if the universe never had a beginning? 🌌✨ While the Big Bang model describes an expanding universe from an early hot, dense state, some theories suggest the cosmos may be eternal — with no true starting point at all. In this thought-provoking talk, Brian explains what it would mean for physics, philosophy, and our search for meaning if time itself stretches infinitely in both directions. With his trademark clarity and awe, he shows how even questioning the beginning forces us to rethink everything we thought we knew about reality. #BrianCox #Cosmology #BigBang #Universe #ScienceExploration

Whichever way you look at it, it’s mind bending and we are unable to conceive the possibilities

Desperate theists need a beginning to help validate a creator; desperate atheists need an eternal universe to validate rejection of any creator. If you’d be happy to accept either, then congrats on being an open minded reasonable person

Hear me out , there is 1 thing that's always existed, a giant black hole , and space is what comes out of it, which is why its expanding and is endless, because you don't see past or the end of an active black hole

Can anyone wrap their brain around the notion of why something exists rather than nothing? You don’t need god to feel in awe about the space and time immensity of the universe.

We will never know, because we will never be saved, we are an unexpected virus that was made from a bang, not a creation of higher meaning, we destroy everything, even ourselves, we are not advanced or needed. So fold your hands all you want, there is nothing when life ends 😑

Question for atheists. 1: if the universe begins to exist, explain something from absolutely nothing scientifically. 2: if the universe is eternal, explain eternity in the past scientifically.

See, I like the idea that the universe is the inside of a black hole. Meaning every black hole likely has its own universe inside, and we are intact nested inside a black hole in a much older universe which is likely its own black hole inside of an even older universe. There is no beggining, it’s black holes all the way down.
