my only problem with it is that it’s not renewable. it’s expensive and causes a lot of pollution to extract, the best way to go is solar/wind energy

Why would we want the potential risk of nuclear when we could can just transition to renewables? Not only do they not have the radioactive risk but they’re cheaper and faster to roll out.

If the waste is safely stored, it’s the way to go., HOWEVER, can those dry cusks last a 100million years at least , because the half life of uranium 235 for example is 704million years. Meaning, that’s how long it’ll take for 1/2 of that material to break down to uselessness ?

If you want to make nuclear power safer.... we should insist that it NOT be operated by private corps for profit. It should be only operated by public corps AT COST. Safer installations, and lower cost to the public.
