It’s important to highlight that since adenomyosis is estrogen-dependent, Mirena works by releasing progesterone in the uterus. it controls symptoms but doesn’t cure the condition.

My adenomyosis was too far gone for the coil. 😳 a full hysterectomy in June 2024 has helped ease my symptoms but I'm in full medical menopause now at 47. Tough but at least I'm not in pain.

Mirena stopped bleeding but still had pain and numerous other dreadful side effects…especially full body bloating. So happy I got it taken out!

Not true! caused (even more) severe bleeding as soon as the damn thing went in. Ended up having emergency hysterectomy due to severe anaemia.
