I had a VERY unexpected pregnancy with someone I’d been dating just a few months (after years of infertility while I was married). He said he didn’t want children and I thanked him for essentially being a free donor and told him I’d never ask him for a thing. My son is fifteen months old and the greatest gift I’ve ever been given.

So happy to see this! After a 12 year-breakup at 41 (he took his words back about kids), I was devastated. Now I’m 42 and deep into the process. Thank God I worked on a solid career, froze my eggs years ago, and have both a big close local family and the means to pay for help. It’s not what I pictured but it’s becoming my reality!
