@marcsebastianf: I know you saw some of these clips in the other vids but I loved this shop so much I wanted to post all the cool stuff I saw. shout out to Jake and Cassie who were guiding lights in the middle of the Nevadan desert. Love you both. 🦚 Royal Peacock Opal Mines in Denio, NV #agreatamericangaysidequest

A-Aaron :
@A-Aaron: Wood becomes opalized when it is deep enough for long enough where mineralized silica-rich water seaps through the wood. Building up over millions of years, replacing the organic matter into the shape of the wood/wood grain, then getting buried deeper which adds more pressure helping further harden the minerals. 🌈✨

I’m in southern Oregon and I have enjoyed this adventure series so much! I’ve learned about so many things in the area. My son says next time I go up to Portland, we will go to that cool museum! I’ve been to the Sunstone mine in eastern Oregon, but didn’t have as good a luck as you…🥹 Next on my list is this opal mine! It’s my birthstone and I had no idea you could find them this close! I thought they were only in Australia…imagine being 68 and learning I can find my birthstone so close by. Thank you so much for this series! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
