these comments show me that 90% of you guys shouldn't have your license that's a pedestrian walking sign which means if someone is standing there you have to stop and let them go the person driving is in the wrong

The driver should have been alert to see a pedestrian crosswalk sign. Speed limit is 25km/h and he still didn’t looked both ways for pedestrians in a pedestrian crossing area.

everyone's ignoring the fact that they weren't even walking towards the street, they were walking laterally, down the side walk, meaning the car couldn't have known they were gonna cross the street until they essentially took a sharp 90 degree turn and threw themselves into traffic

while pedestrians DO have the right of way... these pedestrians walked in front of a moving vehicle. The correct way would've been to let the white car cross. PoV car stops and lets the pedestrians cross and then everyone lives to see another day. Crosswalk doesn't automatically mean run through because now you're immune to damage. A crosswalk is like a 4 way stop where pedestrians have higher priority. If the car is already close to the crosswalk... you stop for the car... the next car allows every single pedestrian to cross...then the cars go again until this needs to be repeated...
