50/50 shot that he’s consumed by this question and ends up going method again as Daniel Plainview to answer it

the issue is you said a question really quickly while the man was heading out. That’s a question that requires him to stop and think, he didn’t have time clearly

He must have blacked out while being in character during filming, so that’s why he can’t answer your question. Method acting does that to folks.

guys, i asked a good question. daniel plainview respects and loves people related to him biologically, as evident by how easily he started to trust henry. also, his relationship with women is bad. the fact that he has a sister, someone with both of these aspects, is an important part of the character's identity. it's a good fucking question and i'm sorry you guys don't understand twbb as much as i do 🤷♀

bro is too method, he hasn’t thought about the movie in years I’m sure. i remember he did an interview with charlie rose promoting the film at the time and he said he had been so deep in the role that the interview was the first time he’d heard that daniel plainview wasn’t a good guy

That was a GREAT, challenging question! Much better than asking if he really only used his left foot for a year or whatever
