-Fairview Heights, Illinois — September 24, 2025: A police officer pulled over a vehicle for having an expired license plate sticker. While the officer approached, a Gray 2018 Chevrolet Camaro collided with the police car from behind, pushing it into the car in front. The driver exited and approached the officer, admitting he had consumed substances and that he intentionally hit the police vehicle. Illinois State Police are investigating. The driver, 28-year-old Keajion L. Jennings, was arrested and faces charges including criminal damage to government property and three counts of aggravated battery. The two occupants of the original vehicle were unharmed and received a warning for the expired sticker.
