lil lore breakdown: Stephen king created a multiverse that connects all his books, outside of the multiverse is a void dimension which is the macro verse. The sentient darkness of the macro verse is called the Prim and is the very 1st being in existence. From the prim was born 3 beings, Gan who is the benevolent creator of the multiverse and the creator of the dark tower which is the center of the multiverse, maturin the cosmic turtle and the 1st of the 12 guardians of the dark tower and the crimson queen an embodiment of evil, she ends up having a son from a mortal she tricked who is named the crimson king. He is 2nd in power to gan who is the strongest of the entities born from the prim and is referred to by weaker entities as the “other”. Along with them is the deadlights who is ITs true form, an evil entity that is subservient to the crimson king who is used by the king to traverse the multiverse. Caught in an eternal battle with maturin the deadlights (IT) fled to a earth inside of the dark tower landing himself in derry, being away from the macro verse he has to take a physical form and feed on fear in order to sustain himself and regain power, his goal is to get back to the macro verse to help the crimson king destroy the dark tower which would unleash chaos across all dimensions.
