Hafid Saoud :
My Honest Review of the Rokid Glasses
I finally received my Rokid Glasses, and I’d like to share my genuine opinion.
Do they justify the €630 price tag? Honestly, no. If I had known I’d also have to pay €115 in customs fees plus €50 for shipping, I wouldn’t have ordered them.
✅ Positives
- Lightweight and comfortable to wear
- Bright, easy-to-read display
- GPS works fine
- Excellent translation feature
- Teleprompter function works well
- Photo and video capabilities are decent (though Ray-Ban offers better quality)
- Music playback is acceptable (again, Ray-Ban delivers superior audio quality)
❌ Negatives
- The interface feels unprofessional
- User interface only available in English and Chinese — not suitable if you speak other languages
- Poor audio quality for phone calls
- The screen often turns on by itself
- Battery drains quickly
- Voice assistant is unreliable — often requires repeating commands or restarting the glasses
- AI recognition is very weak; not useful for travel or learning about new places
- Annoying reflections in the lenses during the day, even when the screen is off, like a mirror effect
⚖️Final Verdict
Am I satisfied with my purchase? Honestly, no. For the price, I would have been better off choosing Meta Gen 2 or another display device.
The concept of Rokid Glasses is interesting, but the company needs to deliver serious updates. Otherwise, by 2026, I fear they’ll be overtaken by competitors like Samsung, Xreal, and Google.
That’s my honest opinion.
