The show is about a best-selling mystery novelist named Richard Castle and a homici detective Kate Beckett working together into solving murder cases and in doing that, it helps Castle make later mystery novels after having writers block and pressure police into shadowing Beckett. Kate (at first) hates having the thought working with a writer and tries to keep Castle out of her way. Later in the series, the two end up having feelings for each other and become a couple and then get married. The show also focuses on them solving the murder of Beckett’s mother.
