I just left Korea 2 weeks ago. And I had a great experience, ppl were warm to us. I was surprised considering what you see. But everyone has different experiences. Luckily mine was a great one

I've had several unpleasant experiences on Korean buses. One driver wouldn't let me on and drove off. Another slammed the door in my face. Another skipped my stop because I was the only one trying to get off.

As a Latina that went to Seoul and Jeju and other towns where there weren’t many tourist I have to agree. Of course there are bad apples like everywhere but even elders were so nice to us, asking us if we were liking their country, their food, feeling proud. I think about going back almost every day and surely next time my experiences will be different but who knows

I was in Korea about a month ago and had no issues. People were very kind and friendly and some even went out of their way to be helpful & give compliments. I had an amazing time & I will be back 🫶🏽🇰🇷

I feel for some situations it also depends what kind of person you are. Me and my friend traveled together and we experienced the same situations differently because our personalities are different.
