@morninkaufy: Want to get better? Run tired. Here’s why👇 In this video I talk about why you should run when you’re tired, what it will do and what’s it’s done for me when I first started up until now. Yes, rest days are CRUCIAL. I’m not neglecting that BUT when you have a planned run, starting double long runs etc being tired is not an excuse to skip a run, period. It actually makes you better! Running when I was tired used to crush me… but I forced my body to adapt. Over time, it stopped breaking me down and started building me up. Now I can handle 100 mile weeks, 20+ mile back-to-back long runs, and not feel wrecked. Why? Because your body learns efficiency under fatigue—lower HR, better fuel use, more resilience. Running on tired legs is a skill you can train. If you’re new, don’t fear running on tired legs. Even 2 easy miles helps your body adapt and get stronger for the long run. #fypシ #runtok #marathon #runner #Running @Garmin Connects @Strava @SAYSKY @Oakley @Sprints Running

where is the line between it's fine to run when you're tired and it's too exhausting and you might bonk when you run , how do I differentiate that to prevent injuries

Training for my first full rn and just did my longest run yet of 19mi. Find myself totally fine cardiovascularly but my legs begin to hurt like hell around mile 13-14 (this has happened on previous long runs as well). In your opinion is this a strength training issue, an issue that can be solved w just more time on feet, or something else? Mileage right now is around 38 a week. Love your stuff man keep it up🐐

I’m going to be watching this a couple of times to understand the science bits. I love the honesty at the end. People who run are on a spectrum of intensity.

Man this channel is gold ! Now I have 2 questions. 1. Doesn’t this make easier to get injured ? 2. Can you give us an example of a routine for someone who runs 60miles a week? Thank you in advance, big fan here.

When increasing weekly volume, would you say running 10 miles in the morning is the same as 5 miles in the morning and 5 miles in the evening or is there more benefit to running the 10 straight?

When programming do you prefer week to week mileage progression or an increase in matched runs effort?

Last week I felt like shit. Soreness, plantar fiscitis and exhausted every day but still completed my runs and my 20 miler on Saturday. I think im close to my goal time for my 1st marathon. I’m glad I found your page. You give really good advice.

I definitely agree on the importance of running when tired, especially as it prepares the body and mind for that latter end of the marathon. I train 7 days a week with my Sunday long run being followed by a 13-15 mile "recovery" day on Monday. My first marathon is in 3 weeks and with only 2 more long runs (20+ miles) on the calendar, would following one of them up with a back to back long run (provided the second long run is a relaxed effort with no marathon pace specific workout) be beneficial? Or is it too close to the race to dip into the tank at that level right now? Thanks again for all the wealth of training info! 🙌

I tried this but when I do it I start feeling pain in the knee and sometimes I get over trained and I need to stop for one week so the knee pain goes away.

aside from the fitness gains, even running one mile when you’re tired is so beneficial to your mind. i was literally laying in bed, tired, and sore, and went out to do a super quick thresh run bc i said i was going to.
