I would go for a sports massage by a therapist that does sport to assess where my body is before starting a running journey,just my opinion as this is what I experience in my massage practice.

This is so helpful! Can you share advice for ramping running back up after taking a break for injury? I’ve been off running for 3 weeks to recover from shin splints and my half marathon is 5 weeks away. Not sure how quickly is safe to pick things back up.

Do you have any recs for work outs to help with posterior tibial tendonitis? I’ve had this issue for over a year and did PT for 4 months and anytime I try to jog or run or even some work outs my leg flares up again. I keep thinking I’m doing something wrong but I’ve done everything possible. I have custom insoles, the right shoes, rest time, etc. just kinda getting frustrated and wondering if this is normal with that type of injury?!
