So apparently boiling the flax seeds burns it which is why you get a brown colour sometimes. So basically what you’re supposed to do instead is pre boil the water by itself and then pour it on the flax seeds and let it seep for 10-20 mins then strain and put it in the refrigerator. Gives a better consistency too.
