I freeze the tomato paste in ziplocks then break it into pieces. I too have not found the tubes in town.

I go to loblaws on wonderland but Ive seen the tomato paste in a tube everywhere, its packaged in a box though so maybe thats why you haven’t noticed it 😋

Instead of a tube I have a tiny ice cube tray from the dollar store I freeze the rest of the can in so you have little portions at add and the thaw really fast

tip: I think beluga lentils are the best for bolognese as they don’t get as mushy as others! Idk if this is an issue for you tho lol
