What's truly funny is that Berserk is incredibly critical of religion, Christianity in particular. There's a whole arc that talks about religious fanaticism and the oppression derived from religion. Judeau, the guy that never confessed to Caska because he thought she deserved better and wanted to see her truly happy is supposed to be "literally Kirk" ? lmao

I'm not saying it's a dog whistle because I think the show really isnt for everyone but I notice a trend with people who couldn't understand Evangelion. They generally find it difficult to put themselves in the shoes of other people's struggles unless it's something they experienced themselves and believe there should only ever be one solutution for multifaceted problems; a mindset I notice is very common with conservatives. No hate on the guy just because of his politics, still enjoy his content but the signs were always there.
