As far as my company in Texas I genuinely didn’t know you could do gas in any other way besides thread or welding i assumed the flexible tube was for fixture attachment only

when I first started hvac I had to cut and thread all the pipe from 1/2"-2" for all the boiler installs and gas piping. it sucked. worse part was we had the electric threader but as the newbie I had to do it by hand
