Umko Blur :
The way I’m always so affected by this old man’s story. I think we can all learn something from Paco’s resilience and perseverance. When you showed him to us the first time, in that horrendous state, I thought he won’t last a month. Then when he was surrendered, I thought it’ll be a very short and sad story. Especially when you went to the vet, and we all learned the extent of his neglect, it truly broke my heart, what this bird had to endure throughout most likely his whole life…anybody’s spirit would be broken. and I remember him relentlessly vocalizing not because he expected anyone to help, but because he knew no one would. To see now him not only surviving, but thriving in his own way, it’s just a true triumph to resilience! And make no mistakes, Paco may be a bit short on computing power, but he understands and feels your love and care. you can’t undo his broken bones, but you have patched together at least some of his broken spirit. Possibly for the first time ever Paco knows peace. If I’m half as strong as he is, I know I’ll be ok. Thank you 🙏
