Waking the Dragons is honestly underrated for how the writers took the ideas of Yugi being a magician specialist to inspire his Eye of Timaeus (fuses with Spell Cards) Kaiba being notorious for his devastating trap cards to inspire his Fang of Critias (fuses with Trap Cards) and Joey's tendency in Duelist Kingdom & Battle City of using equip cards to inspire his Claw of Hermos (fuses with another card to create an Equip Card).
