I just got a used BMW i3 range extender that sadly didn't qualify for the tax credit. It was still cheaper than any other car I was considering. I just had to road trip the car from Ohio to Georgia because it is a rare car and that was the closest to me with the features I wanted

I think anyone that wants a EV got one during this time, and benefited from it, and there’s no one interested left, if they didn’t buy one with 7k off why buy one now $7k more

I think new EV sales on tax credit eligible cars is going to tank until after Christmas, causing MSRP to fall on new models. I don’t necessarily think that’s 💯 because of losing the credit, but because everybody that was considering buying one already did because of the credit expiring. The loss of credit forced the customers hand. Now I think we’ll just start seeing even more manufacturer incentives. 0% financing, customer cash, loyalty incentives, etc.

Pretty sure dealers factor in that EV credit when pricing their cars lol dealerships aren’t in the business of giving anything for free prices probably just going to drop 3-4k since they wont have to factor in that credit
