@artem_pankovich: Exhaust Manifold & Catalyst Replacement on KIA Ceed 1.6 GDI. • In this video, we show the process of replacing the catalytic converter on a 2012 KIA Ceed equipped with the 1.6 GDI gasoline engine (engine code G4FD, Euro 5 standard). The customer came in with a Check Engine light. After reading the fault memory and performing diagnostic tests, the ECU confirmed low catalytic converter efficiency, which required replacement of the integrated exhaust manifold–catalyst unit. • The work is not as simple as it might seem: since the catalytic converter is combined with the exhaust manifold, access and removal require lowering the subframe together with the steering rack.
