Got put out of service the other day for 3 problems. One was serious one was traffic cones bungee corded to frame. Could have just had me remove the cones into the cab. Didn't have to write it up. Third was left rear turn signal on end of trailer was out. Drive out to wait for mechanic and checked left rear turn signal and it was working fine.

Is there anything I can do if my company pushes my departure time back an hour and I have to sit and wait an extra hour before I can leave? We’re not hourly so I feel like there should be something we can do.

🤔could You please explain more about the exceed the 14hrs because if someone drive 5hrs to the pick up place and the receiver take 7hrs 1/2 to load it!
that mean just 1hrs more to drive. (15min PTI)+ 5hrs driving + haft hr ON DUTY(receiver) + 7HRS WAITING= 12HRS 45MIN
THAT MEAN 1HR TO DRIVE +15PTI DONE 14HRS HOS. But using SB 😬the driver could drive for 6hrs more TOTAL = 19HRS OF SERVICE TOTAL😬 DAY PLEASE COULD 🙏 😀

been following for a few weeks. your content is very informative! would you consider doing a video on livestock transport. as you may know, cattle haulers are notorious for going over 11 hours. are their any exemptions that can be taken by livestock transport? the reason I say this is because cattle have time limits they can be in a trailer. this is key in summer months when pulling a cattle pot to sleep for 10 hours during the hot summer months with no air circulation. do we have any kind of exemption while loaded with live animals?

I have a hazmat question. If you have 10,000 lbs of flammable 3 on your trailer but it’s limited quantity. Do you still plackard the trailer?

I take my time and still over look something from time to time, I also don’t rush the clock anymore. I will drive six hours then take my 30 minute break, depending on tomorrows time frame on if I drive another three hours. I try to stay at a 9 to 10 hour day, I like to leave no later than 3am so I have plenty of time to find good parking
