Here are 3️⃣ things you should do before putting anything in the ground: 1️⃣ Add a thin layer of organic fertilizer to refresh your soil and bring back nutrients lost from the spring season. Spread it evenly and rake it in for the perfect start. 🌿 2️⃣ Mix in your other amendments! I love using wood ash because it’s packed with potassium, calcium carbonate, and other minerals that help balance your soil. But remember, don’t overdo it, or you could raise the pH too much. ⚖️ 3️⃣ Top off your beds with compost. I order mine in bulk (so much cheaper than bags) because raised beds settle down and need fresh organic matter to stay healthy. 🍂 Now your beds are ready, time to grab your seeds! If you haven’t gotten yours yet, check out Park Seed. They’re based in South Carolina (like me) but ship nationwide. 📦🌎 So tell me… what cool season crops are YOU planting this year? 👩🌾👨🌾 #gardening #coolseason #organicgardening #gardentips #raisedbeds
