@david.akash16: Video 588 Coca Cola will be closing its $20 Million Plant in North Hampton Massachusetts and laying off the 300 workers there in order to have bottling done at outsourced facilities. This the terrible trend of companies outsourcing important parts of their process to other companies and sacrificing quality for profits. It never ends well. They have a few good quarters of profits and then go back when the outside vendor screws it up. Do you think this is a Google move for Coke? #layoffs #coke #mattrieck #cocacola #outsourcing
They already have somebody bottling their product in multiple regions. This is nothing new.

They haven’t bottled their own product for 100 years. Unless you’re in Atlanta, when you drive past a Coke plant it’s not CCNA.

They can make it cheaper by taking less profits but theyd rather keep their profits by outsourcing while laying off thousands.

Most beverage companies have local or regional bottling as its cost effect as distribution is their biggest expense. Could be the plant needed to many upgrades.

Outsourcing to a contractor and it’s here in the US. Financial Times reported that the company had this in process for at least the last 10 years. They are moving to contractors doing all bottling for them while buy syrups from them.
