just my opinion, it is very suspicious to be by a school. However, "legally" he hasn't done anything wrong. if i was a cop, I would've just parked nearby and kept an eye on him.

Let's make sure he doesn't park in front the school but we are not going to protect yhe kids from mass shootings. Where is the school? Is it in the middle of a neighborhood?

Legally he hasnt done anything wrong , hasnt broken the law. It is perfectly acceptable for police to investigate though , considering the circumstances. If the guy is doing nothing wrong then he shouldnt mind explaining why he is there and what he is doing. And considering the circumstances , " just because I wanted to and can " isnt an appropriate answer.

Sorry, protecting the children should be a top priority these days. No law was broken but I am NOT parking within eye sight of a school to avoid this exact concern.

Not saying it is in this situation specifically because we don’t know where this is. But in many cities (Chicago, LA, New York) there are laws and ordinances that address loitering around or near schools and other areas where children congregate. Some don’t specifically call out ‘children’ and simply enforce anti loitering ordinances. There are also some states that have laws in the books like that as well. So, it’s not always correct to say, ‘Not Illegal’ because in some places it is.

All these people agreeing it’s suspicious to be on a public street parked cuz it was in front of a school…is it suspicious if it’s a mall? Or a park? Or Walmart?
